DEPARTMENT OF STATISTICS AT CARNEGIE-MELLON UNIVERSITY
www.stat.cmu.edu
Not just another homepage for a universtiy statistics department, the
site is actually a large and comprehensive database of statistics related
resources on the web.
DEPARTMENT OF STATISTICS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO
www.stat.uchicago.edu
Our university's stat department homepage isn't quite nearly as suave
- still it's got a lot of useful information for those considering to take
courses in that department.
This site contains countless computer applications, utilities, games, graphics, etc. for a number of platforms. It is, however, very popular and is therefore often hard to contact. But luckily it is heavily mirrored. So your best bet is probably trying to contact one of the mirror sites. Here are a couple:

Northwestern University Sociology Department: http://nuinfo.nwu.edu/sociology/
Just because some of the courses taken at that university counts for
the credit in our department...
The course listing is quite comprehensive and maybe useful.

Yet another quite comprehensive database and links to other sociology
related sites.

The Chicago Tribune Weather Forecast Page
http://chicagotribune.com/news/weather/
Occasionally remiss in updating the material, but has forecasts up
to 7 days ahead. Thy tend to err to the extreme side - i.e., to the hotter
side during summer and to the colder side in winter.
The Weather Channel
http://www.weather.com/
Forecasts from this site are really from two different sources - ones
on the default forecast page are by the meteorologists of the Weather Channel
themselves, while those accessed from "detailed local forecast" link are
from the National Weather Forecast Service. The former tends to err to
the warmer side, the latter slightly to the colder side. Take the middle
value and you'd be fine. In addition the detailed local forecast gives
you the forecast for wind direction for the next 24 hours, which could
be an important information especially for bicycle riders and those whose
room has windows only on one side.
